200 countries, 200 years history of mankind

6 12 2010

This remarkable infograph shows the lifespan statistics over the last 200 years and 200 countries.
It also shows how major events such as World Wars, free trade, epidemic affects the countries.
One thing I found interesting but not unexpected is that it uses lifespan and income to measure the advancement of a country. In plain words, money and life seems to be the most valuable elements for mankind.
Nevertheless, the infograph shows a optimistic trend in the future. Every country seems to converge toward the rich and healthy sector. However, the question still exists: how united are we as a race? (not saying that i believe in scientology.)
